What is Lap ?
Lapp is one of the most famous Laos cuisine, which contains sauted minced meat with lemongrass, mint and other herbs.
Ms. Chitta made Papaya Salad that was not listed on the menu for today but she treated it specially for us. Have ever tried green papaya ? It is quite good.
After lunch... she told us about how is Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang menas literlally Royal Buddha Image where they have many historical buddhism temples. Luang Prabang is a city located in north central Laos, on the Mekong River about 425 Km north of Vietnam, and the capital of Luang Prabang Province. The city is also norable as a Unesco World Heritage site.
She introduced tales of Laos who created the world, showed us sticky rice steamer which is made of bamboo and rapping skirt which is one of Lao folk dress. Most of females, from young to old, wears this skirt at offical places such as working places and schools.
